Once you’re ready to proceed, submit your application along with the necessary documents. To get started, in most cases, all we will need from you is:

  • A description of what’s being demolished
  • An aerial image or site plan clearly showing the structure
  • Plumbing Approval (for sites with on-site sewerage)
  • In some areas of QLD, a Referral Application may need to be sent to Council

We’ll guide you through all of it, so there’s no second-guessing.

Do I need a demolition permit?

Yes. In Queensland, most demolition work needs building approval (often referred to as a demolition permit), even for smaller structures like sheds, garages, patios, or swimming pools. A private certifier can assess your plans and issue the approval before work begins.

We keep it simple. To assess your demolition approval, we just need:

  • A short description of what’s being demolished
  • An aerial image or site plan showing the structures to be removed
  • Plumbing approval (only if the property has on-site sewerage)

That’s it, you don’t need to provide anything else. We’ll handle the rest from there.

This can change depending on the project, but don’t worry, we will guide you through what's needed.

Not always. In most cases, we can issue your demolition approval without Council involvement. Some Councils, however, may need to be involved if you’re demolishing a dwelling or if your property is affected by planning overlays or heritage controls.
